2016 Wedding Trends

Thousands of wedding experts and professionals recently attended the Wedding MBA in Las Vegas.  Wedding professionals from across the country travel to attend this annual convention to learn how to better serve their clients: engaged couples, and to discuss tips and trends which allow them to provide cutting edge services.  A much anticipated topic of the convention is wedding trends.  It’s always exciting to hear what the wedding industry experts are forecasting for the upcoming wedding season.

Brit Haskins, event coordinator at Classic Hall Event Center in Annandale, attended the recent convention in Las Vegas and brought a plethora of knowledge back to Minnesota to help guide and serve her clients.  While attending the Wedding MBA, Brit had the opportunity to hear from Danielle Andrews-Sunkel and Tracey Manilesau, co-founders of the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada.  Andrews-Sunkel and Manilesau highlighted the following upcoming wedding trends during their Eclectic Elegance seminar:

The 2016 Pantone Spring Color palette was recently released.  Many wedding planning details, oftentimes including the theme of the entire affair, revolves around color.  Pantone is the self-proclaimed "world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries."  The PANTONE name is known worldwide as the standard language for color communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer.  The Pantone’s Top 10 Colors of Spring 2016 are as follows:
